Sunset at Manila Bay: A Must Wait and See When You’re in Manila

November 15, 2015 By Victorino Q. Abrugar Leave a Comment

Manila Bay Sunset Views

Sunset views are amazing, romantic, and relaxing. The breathtaking scenery of a sunset turning the sea and the skies into gold can take our problems and stresses away. One of the best spots to watch the sun kisses the sea in the Philippines or probably in the world is at Manila Bay. So when I had the chance to visit our country’s capital city, I made sure that a walk along Roxas Boulevard to catch the sunset was on my itinerary.

On 4 November 2015, I strolled along Roxas Boulevard to capture the different views of the sunset at Manila bay, including the people and notable landmarks near the area.

Here are some of my photos. Enjoy!

Roxas Boulevard

I arrived at Roxas Boulevard at 4:30 PM. The sun was still high. It was hot but that was actually what I was praying. If it was raining, I would have no chance to glance a clear view of the sunset.

Roxas Boulevard is a walk away from major landmarks in Manila, including Rizal Park, Manila Ocean Park, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Robinsons Mall Manila, the US Embassy, and a lot of towering hotels along the bay.

Rajah Sulayman Monument

The monument of Rajah Sulayman, the last king of Manila. The monument is located at Rajah Sulayman Plaza in Malate. It’s a few steps away from Malate Church and Roxas Boulevard.

From the monument of Rajah Sulayman, tourists and Catholic devotees can visit the baroque-style Church of Malate located just in front of Plaza Rajah Sulayman.
